Toddler Program (Aged 19 months – 36 months)

Our program for Toddlers (aged 19 months – less than 3 years) invites children on a daily adventure in an active, safe, loving, secure and friendly learning environment. We know how important the early years are to you and your child. It is a time of remarkable growth when children are experiencing rapid development, learning new skills, and progressing steadily towards physical, intellectual, and social-emotional milestones. With that in mind, our program provides guidance and rich experiences that build upon individual strengths and talents.

Our Toddler educators create a developmentally appropriate learning environment that encourages toddlers in our care to become confident, successful, lifelong learners. Educators create learning experiences that promote toddlers’ blossoming independence and social skills and foster self-confidence. Educators regularly attend professional development seminars and courses to keep themselves inspired, fresh, and updated with current research and teaching techniques.

The Toddler Early Learning Program Offers:

• A comfortable, nurturing environment focusing on healthy development, socialization, emotional security, and the learning of new skills

• A bright, cheerful, clean environment with developmentally appropriate toys and crafts

• Continuity of care with consistent and friendly staff

• A daily routine that balances teacher and child-initiated experiences

• Specialized attention, including cuddling, rocking, singing, speaking with and being read to

• Daily outdoors and active play

• Social and friendly meal and snack times

• Support and encouragement for parents and families

We are obligated to let you know what your children are learning and how they are developing. We have an open-door policy to encourage specialists, parents/guardians and families to make suggestions, give us ideas, or help out with our program whenever they are interested!

Children in the Preschool do not have nap time as the duration of the program is only two and a half hours, except the children, who are part of the daycare service.

Transitioning from the Toddler Program to the 3 – 4.5 Preschooler Program

There are some transitions that children will encounter within their early years. Change and transitions can unsettle and upset children when introduced to new staff or routines in unfamiliar surroundings. This will not be an issue as the toddlers and the 3 – 4.5 preschoolers share a common space and are familiar with the age 3 – 4.5 Preschoolers and their teachers.
